A Few Good Women
Author and journalist behind Lifetime TV's Army Wives and Undaunted, Tanya Biank discusses her most challenging days as a writer and the lessons she learned about strength and courage from the women who wear our nation's uniform.

A Fulbright scholar, Biank's work has appeared in numerous publications, including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. She has been a guest on Good Morning America, CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, ABC News, and NPR. During her reporting days, she traveled with U.S. troops around the world.

Her latest book, Undaunted: The Real Story of America's Servicewomen in Today's Military, tells the inside story of military women's professional and personal challenges - from the combat zone to the home front. Her book, Army Wives: The Unwritten Code of Military Marriage, was the basis for Lifetime TV's hit series, which ran for seven seasons and is one of the top five longest running drama series in basic cable history.

Books available for purchase and signing. Sponsored by Friends of Howard County Library. A "Meet the Author" event.
