Meet the Author: Katie McCabe
Katie McCabe, co-author of Justice Older than the Law, shares the remarkable story of her 15-year collaboration with legendary civil rights lawyer, Army veteran, and ordained minister Dovey Johnson Roundtree.

One of Washington's most revered criminal defense attorneys, Roundtree not only battled segregation in the World War II military, but also fought for justice for nearly half a century. Justice Older than the Law, called "American history and human history at its very best" by former Harvard Law School Assistant Dean Walter J. Leonard, was the winner of the Association of Black Women Historians' 2009 Letitia Woods Brown Prize for the best publication on an African American woman. McCabe won the National Magazine Award.
