Position Title: Homebound Volunteer

Branch: Central, Elkridge, East Columbia, Glenwood, Miller, Savage

Department: Information/Customer Service

Major Responsibilities: Delivering books to homebound customers. Duties may include selecting and processing books, and meeting with homebound customers.

Training: Orientation with Community Services Librarian, which includes making a home visit with her.

Qualifications:

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Provide three references.
• Familiarity with Library policies
• Respect for diverse lifestyles, cultures, religions, and values.
• Must be over 21 years old.

Length of Commitment: At least six months

Time Involvement: Several hours, once every 3-6 weeks
