Friends of HCLS logoDon’t just use the Library, be a part of it. The Friends of Howard County Library System is a nonprofit organization that supports Howard County Library System (HCLS) in its mission to deliver high quality education for all ages.

To provide this support to the Library, the Friends of HCL Board of Directors ask that you consider joining the Friends as a member. There are different membership levels, and each level offers different benefits and opportunities for recognition.

Whether you’re an individual who wants to support HCLS's educational initiatives, a family that wants to be up-to-date on the Library’s special activities, or a corporation that’s interested in making a philanthropic impact to education in Howard County - there’s a membership level that’s right for you!

Memberships are charitable donations to the 501(c)3 Friends, and are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law. To join the Friends, or to renew your membership, you have several options:
