Savage Branch
* Savage Branch will be closed July 7, 2013 through the fall of 2014 for a long awaited renovation. Please visit our Central, East Columbia, Elkridge, Glenwood, or Miller branches during the closure. Important Dates: June 8 - Last day to choose Savage Branch as a pick-up location for reserves via the catalog. July 6 - Last day to pick up reserved items from Savage Branch. July 7 - Savage Branch closed for transition to new building. September 2014 - Grand opening of the new HCLS Savage Branch. Located at the intersection of Gorman Road and Knights Bridge near the Bollman Truss Bridge in historic Savage, the HCLS Savage Branch has been meeting the educational needs of an ever-increasing population since it opened in April 1991. The Savage Branch delivers HCLS' curriculum (materials, research assistance, classes, and events) to a steadily growing population, placing a major emphasis on children's classes. The Savage Branch recorded 316,937 visits in FY 2012.
