HOWARD COUNTY LIBRARY AND HOWARD COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM
In September 2002, Howard County Library and the Howard County Public
School System began a new county-wide initiative: A+ Partners in Education.
Our mission is to develop programs, activities, and events for all
Howard County students, their families and teachers that increase
love of reading, advocate the completion of school assignments, promote
scholarship, and ensure academic success. In addition, we encourage
every Howard County Public School student to own and use a Howard
County Library card to borrow materials and access databases. With
the passage of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, this initiative
is especially important as all schools seek to improve their students'
overall reading and writing skills.
