On the Road to Kindergarten (ORK)
One of our Library on the Go programs focused on early literacy and kindergarten readiness. The ORK team uses the Mobile Pop-Up Library to bring preschool classes and learning resources directly to pre-kindergarten programs, Family Child Care homes, Early Learning Centers, and neighborhoods without easy access to library branches.
ORK Instructors Will:
- Teach early literacy and school-readiness classes.
- Lend books, activity kits, toys, and other learning materials.
- Share information about library classes and events.
- Connect families with community resources and services.
PopUp Library
Our mobile Library brings materials, staff, and interactive activities to festivals, neighborhood events, and community gatherings across Howard County.
Community Outreach
Library on the Go! expands access to library programs and services beyond our six branches. Our instructors bring classes and expertise directly into the community, and our outreach team uses specialized library vehicles to support events county-wide. Together, we help residents learn, grow, and connect wherever they are.
