Borrowing Information

- Borrowing Limit: 2 per customer

- Hold Limit: Not requestable online
- Requestable Online: No, but you can phone Central or Glenwood to hold art for 2 hours.
- Overdue Fines: $2 per day, $30 maximum; seniors exempt
Special Instructions
- 18 years and older
- Not available to these special borrower cards: A+ Educators, A+ Students, DIY, Home/Community Services, PAC registrants, Satellite Collections, Temporary residents
- Phone Central or Glenwood to hold a specific piece of art for 2 hours.
- Artwork will not be sent to other HCLS branches for pickup.
- Pick up at the desk of the lending branch.
- Return in its tote bag to the desk of the lending branch during open hours.
- Returned items will be inspected for damage and missing parts before being removed from your account.
- Do not return to a book drop, other HCLS branch, or other library system in Maryland.
- Lost or stolen items: Full replacement cost + $25 fee.
- Damage to artwork, frame, or glass: Fees assessed case-by-case.
- No replacements accepted for lost, damaged, or incomplete items.
