Kindergarten, Here We Come!

Every year, the Library offers many sessions of Kindergarten, Here We Come, a class designed to soothe some back-to-school worries.

Back to school can induce a little anxiety in students and parents (and probably teachers, too). Along with the excitement of new opportunities comes a sense of the unknown – especially for children going to school for the first time. Every year, the Library offers many sessions of Kindergarten, Here We Come, a class designed to soothe some of those worries.

Children laugh with silly stories while moving to shake out their wiggles. Then comes the most exciting part – getting on and off of a big, yellow school bus! Those little legs get to practice taking some very big steps up into a bus, finding a seat, and seeing what it looks like from the inside. Parents get to practice their perfect waving technique from the sidewalk, too.

Kindergarten, Here We Come! is for children entering Kindergarten in this fall. 45 – 60 minute class. Registration is required. Sponsored by Friends & Foundation of HCLS and Howard County Public School System.

Classes are posted in June each year.
Visit the library’s online calendar and use the search filters to find class details and registration.
