Are you always on the lookout for your next mystery read? Join us for Murder, They Wrote: A Mystery Author Showcase on Saturday, November 7 at 1 pm. The Chesapeake Chapter of Sisters in Crime is bringing 16 crime and mystery authors together for an afternoon of intriguing stories, behind-the-scenes insights, and new mystery reads. Whether you’re a devoted mystery reader or simply curious about how authors bring their stories to life, this is your chance to meet the writers behind the mysteries.

Every Mystery Has a Story

How does an author come up with the idea for a mystery? Hear authors share the inspiration behind their newest novels and short stories, talk about the creative choices that bring their books to life, and enjoy a sneak preview of what they’re working on now. You’ll also have a chance to meet and chat with the authors, hear more about their work, and discover the stories behind the mysteries.

Sixteen participating authors will share their work: Donna Andrews, Mark Brutsché, Barb Goffman, Kathryn Holland, Smita Harish Jain, Kathryn Johnson, Deborah Kalb, J. Herman Kleiger, Libby Klein, Julie Moffett, Jacque Rosman, Misty Simon, Rosalie Spielman, Shannon Taft, Marcia Talley, and Jennifer van der Kleut. Books will be available for purchase and signing for those attending in person, so you may leave with a favorite–or a stack of possibilities for your next great read!
