Bruce Holsinger discusses his new novel, a suspenseful drama about moral responsibility in the age of artificial intelligence. Holsinger is the editor of the quarterly journal New Literary History as well as a frequent instructor at WriterHouse, a nonprofit in Charlottesville. He teaches English at the University of Virginia and is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship. He has also written many works of nonfiction, and his essays and reviews have appeared in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, and many other publications.

Culpability was chosen as one of the titles for the 2026 HCLS Adult Battle of the Books. It is also available as an e-book and e-audiobook.
